​Shiann Croft is an author, storyteller, playwright, and poet based in Brampton , Ontario. Her debut novel, The Legend of Sincerely, powerfully explores themes of identity, resilience, and cultural connection. In addition to her literary work, Shiann has made significant contributions to the theatrical world, particularly with Theatre Aquarius. Her recent play, The Story of Tituba, is featured in the 4th Annual Decolonise Your Ears New Play Reading Festival. Through both her literary and theatrical works, Shiann engages in meaningful conversations with history, reclaiming lost narratives and centering marginalized voices.

 Her commitment to equity and inclusion is further exemplified by her communications internship at the Art Gallery of York University. In tandem with her ongoing studies in Creative Writing and Decolonial journalism practices at the University of Toronto, where she critically examines and challenges Eurocentric storytelling models. These experiences collectively reflect her dedication to fostering inclusivity in her creative endeavors and academic pursuits.
