Holly McGuinness was born in Derry, Northern Ireland in 1995. Raised in the historic city, she went on to study Film at Queen’s University Belfast and stayed on to complete her master’s in creative writing. It was during these years that she discovered a fondness for the fantasy genre, playing RPGs until the early hours of the morning.
Holly’s work takes elements from high fantasy but focuses on the characters within those tales. Giving insight into their motivations, relationships and reactions to the world around them.
When she’s not writing, Holly splits her time between her job as a classroom assistant and A DM for a local game store. Somehow still squeezing in time to play RPGs with her university friends on the odd weekend.
