Stephanie Lynn Spada writes from the edges of belonging—the places where questions linger longer than answers, and where identity is shaped in quiet, often unseen ways. Her debut poetry collection is drawn from work she began in her high school and college years, when she often felt like an outsider looking in, searching for where she fit and who she was becoming.
Born in Springfield, Illinois, Stephanie later earned her BA in Finance from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and an MS in Accounting from San Diego State University. She built a long career across public accounting, corporate management, and advertising/media, spending decades in San Diego, California. Yet beneath the structure of that life, her earlier voice—the one that wrote through uncertainty, longing, and observation—remained.
Now living in Colorado Springs and beginning again after profound personal change, Stephanie returns to those early words with new perspective. Her writing holds both the distance of time and the immediacy of feeling, shaped by a life that has known reinvention, loss, and quiet resilience.
